You have probably already seen a message here and there on social media or the written press about a brewery that has won a medal at the Asia Beer Challenge 2020. A total of 28 Belgian beers from 11 different Belgian breweries have won a prize.
The Asia Beer Challenge (ABC) is run by the largest Beverage Awards organization in the world, including CWSA, WWSA and the European Beer Challenge. The Asia Beer Challenge is judged by the leading beer buyers in Asia and offers brands and brewers the opportunity to present their brews to key decision makers at the forefront of the Asian beer market.
Each beer is subjected to a rigorous blind tasting process that allows newcomers to compete fairly with the world’s leading brands.

We wanted to create a somewhat atypical ‘Saison’ with our MAKnifique, with respect for the tradition that the beer carries with it. In November 2019, the ten friends of MAK Brewery already scored double gold at the European Beer Challenge with their triple “MAK es pruuve?”.
“We are extremely pleased that both beers can now show off a medal on their labels, which we believe they deserve. This time the medal was bronze, but that doesn’t matter to us. The “Saison” category is a complex department, and that makes the recognition all the better! “, Antoine concludes.
